Couldn’t do it

Today I had to bring some supplies up to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I walked past a little play area where there were about 8 children listening to two ladies put on some sort of puppet show. They all had glowing looks of excitement on their face. Also, each of the children had 1 or 2 I.V. pumps connected to them. It was at that moment, a moment of about 5 seconds looking at these children, that I realized why I wouldn’t be able to work in that field. God bless those individuals who can. Within 5 seconds my eyes were welling up. I had to turn and walk away.
